Biography
Alina Roper is an Occupational Therapy Academic at The University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health, Armidale. This part time role involves working with rural undergraduate students to assist with their knowledge and skills as well as to support their learning whilst on rural placement. Since graduating in 1997 Alina has worked in both metropolitan and rural settings in the areas of adult rehabilitation, acute services, aged care, aged care psychiatry, palliative care, as a sole generalist and as a clinical senior in the areas of equipment prescription and home modifications. Alina is an experienced clinical placement supervisor and draws on her breadth of experience as clinician and leader in the public health sector to offer students comprehensive placement opportunities as well as service learning opportunities.
