Listen in to National Simultaneous Storytime 2020
Join Dr Julie Mundy-Taylor's live stream via Instagram at 11am on Wednesday 27 May.
Our very own Research Librarian storyteller, Dr Julie Mundy-Taylor, will be reading Whitney & Britney: Chicken Divas by Lucinda Gifford for National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). Streaming live on the Library's Instagram channel on Wednesday 27 May at 11am.
A significant part of Library and Information Week, National Simultaneous Storytime aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, and the fun found in books. This is the Storytime's 20th year but the University of Newcastle Library is participating for the very first time. Each year on the same day at the same time libraries, schools, families and individuals all read the same story. Last year over 1,138,000 people participated across the world and it's high time we joined in.
The theme for this year's Library and Information Week is Create, which provides the perfect opportunity for the Library to showcase all the ways we support our University's students and staff to create new learning, access creative spaces both on campus and online, and engage with creative learning resources, such as our new Library Webinar series.
Connect with the Library through our Library blog, Instagram and Twitter channels to stay up to date with all the creative ways our Library supports our University community.
