Impressive wins in major grant rounds
I am delighted to advise that UON researchers have performed strongly throughout 2017 securing $21.6 million in NHMRC funding and $11.3 million from ARC.
It is great to see that UON continues to perform strongly in NHMRC funding rounds - increasing overall performance by eight percent from 2016. Our performance in the ARC Discovery Project scheme has also improved significantly, more than doubling the number of successful applications in 2016.
As we continue to navigate a challenging funding environment, I would like to recognise the hard work and dedication of all researchers and mentors throughout the institution. A significant amount of work is required to prepare an application to the NHMRC and ARC and I would like to commend the efforts of all, particularly those who have not been successful in this round.
