Vice-Chancellor, Professor Caroline McMillen, said she encouraged members of the Hunter community to explore the detailed plans for NeW Space, which propose a landmark new higher education facility for the region.

"The University of Newcastle is committed to engaging with communities right across the Hunter to ensure the benefits of these planned next-generation facilities are shared," Professor McMillen said.

The University will host an information session where Hunter residents can view the plans and speak with project managers to discuss any aspect of NeW Space. This forum will be held at Newcastle City Hall on Saturday 30 August from 2-5pm. Community members wishing to attend can register their interest by emailing newspace@newcastle.edu.au

The SSD documentation, including an Environmental Impact Statement and other supporting technical studies, will be on public exhibition from Thursday 21 August until Friday 19 September.
