Top brains will discuss the Hunter region's role in the global innovation race, covering a broad range of industry sectors including manufacturing, mining and energy, eHealth, cultural creativity, disruptive innovation and crowdsourcing.

"The event will set the scene for sharing dialogue, ideas and planning for the future of Newcastle in a competitive and changing world. Ranked in the top three per cent of universities globally, our researchers, including our representatives presenting at the Forum, are already pioneering revolutionary outcomes that have positioned us as a hub for creativity and innovation," said Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation, Professor Kevin Hall.

Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Business and Law, Professor Richard Dunford, said the Forum was a valuable opportunity to engage with diverse business and industry groups.

"As a world-class university, participating in conversations and finding creative solutions are important. The Hunter Innovation Forum is a perfect platform to support innovation in regional businesses through relevant research and information sharing," said Professor Dunford.
