The Faculty of Education and Arts Research Unit rolled out a number of activities for researchers at Ourimbah in 2015. Workshops have included:

6 October Library Support for Researchers: Run by librarians Catherine Moffat and Fiona Neville, this workshop included information on finding the literature for your research, planning data management, copyright for researchers, NURO and HERDC.

15 September Co-publishing with your PhD student: This workshop took researchers through the pros and cons of co-publishing. It was run by supervisors and their students who have successfully published journal articles together.

20 August 2 on 1 Day: Deputy Head of Faculty Professor Hugh Craig and Research Development Manager Ms Catherine Oddie met with six academics to discuss their research plans and help trouble shoot any problems they were encountering.

20 July Building you online profile: This is a hands-on two-hour workshop assisted researchers to optimise their web bios and set up profiles across web and social media to improve their online presence and make them more easily found. Ten researchers attended the workshop run by FEDUA Research Unit Digital Communications Officer Jessie Reid.

The final workshop for 2015 will be 28 October Planning your research summer with Professor Lisa Adkins: This two hour workshop will assist you in identifying your key goals for research over the summer and review some strategies for achieving these goals. It will involve individual and collective activities, including individual planning.

In 2016 we plan to return to Ourimbah with the increasingly valuable 'Connecting with ORCID ID' workshop, as well as more on planning, publishing and promoting research.
