Kelly Rogers has been awarded the Jane M. Klauseman Women in Business Scholarship

The Newcastle Business School would like to congratulate one of its star students, Kelly Rogers, on being awarded the Jane M. Klauseman Women in Business Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to women undertaking business studies who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field.

Kelly, an award winning student studying a combined business and commerce degree, was encouraged to pursue the scholarship by Dr Katherine Uylangco and Neil Hartnett, both academics of the Newcastle Business School.

"I was motivated to support Kelly's application for a range of reasons", said Neil Hartnett, "but in particular she exhibits a level of ability and motivation not often encountered". Neil said that this point was most well illustrated by Kelly's decision to complete the three majors within her program (accounting, finance, and international business), rather than the requisite two.

Katherine Uylangco noted that Kelly demonstrated an incredibly high potential for and love of learning, which she believed would be an attribute that served her well in the future. She went on to praise Kelly's intellectual independence and her capacity for analytical thinking. There is no doubt that Kelly's future is bright.
