The gavel is down and class is adjourned, but has a verdict been reached on what the future holds?

Graduates of the Newcastle Law School were invited to a breakfast to share their experiences with the next generation of Law graduates. The event was held at Isabella's restaurant on Callaghan campus and hosted 4 alumni of the Newcastle Law School, each of whom was eager to share their experience with the 50 law students in attendance.

Lana Black, currently a Solicitor at Mullane & Lindsay Solicitors discussed her experience as a new grad in the workplace. As a Senior Associate at Sparke Helmore, Lachlan Wilson discussed his experience of becoming a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Dispute Resolution. Richard Howard discussed how he earned the fitting role of CEO of the Newcastle Yacht Club. Finally, Luke Sessions offered some early career advice to students, encouraging them to aspire to a job that they really enjoy.

The speakers represented diverse career paths, showing the versatility of their Law degrees and giving a unique perspective on entering the workforce for the first time. As different as they were, the alumni were consistent in their praise for the education they received at the Newcastle Law School and the University of Newcastle Legal Centre.
