Council Members tour New Space

Following a tour of the NeW Space site, Council members met for the May Council Meeting hearing from the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, and discussing key strategic issues.

At a glance

The Chancellor discussed sector governance, equity of access and the Commonwealth Government’s Higher Education Reform Options Paper, released to coincide with the Commonwealth budget. The Government is welcoming feedback on the paper and UON is preparing key policy priority points as part of this process, which will be agreed in collaboration with our Council and Executive team. The Vice-Chancellor discussed the key emerging implications for the sector following the recent budget announcements and detailed UON’s approach to prepare a submission in response to the Higher Education Reform Options Paper. Find out more.
