2018 staff parking permits
2018 staff parking permits are now available for collection from Infrastructure and Facilities Services (IFS) located in the Services Building at Callaghan campus.
To ensure compliance when you return in 2018, collect your parking permit prior to the university shutdown period or as soon as you return to work next year.
Where do I collect my parking permit?
Callaghan and City staff can collect their 2018 parking permits from the IFS office located in the Services Building anytime between 8.00am and 4.00pm, Monday – Friday. The Callaghan IFS office will close at 12pm on 15 December 2017 for the Christmas closedown period.
How do I collect my permit?
Callaghan and City staff: bring either your staff ID card or other photo identification to the IFS Office. If you wish to collect a colleagues or a family members parking permit for them, from 2017 they must provide written authorisation to email@example.com.
For staff on continuing payroll deductions, we can issue to UON teams in bulk. Please fill out the attached Bulk Authorisation sheet with colleagues’ signature/s before sending it through to us.
Please allow a day’s notice to fulfil the order - we will contact you to let you know when they are all ready to be picked up.
How do I pay for my permits?
Staff based at campuses where parking fees are payable can choose to have their parking paid as a payroll deduction or pay the full cost of the permit upfront – eligibility criteria apply. Note that only EFTPOS and credit cards are accepted as there are no cash facilities available at the office.
Parking fees for 2018 – no change from 2017 rates
TYPE OF PERMIT
No cost for permit however a daily parking ticket must be purchased where applicable.
I want to get a staff validation permit – what do I need to do?
If you require a staff validation permit you can complete the staff validation form online. Staff validation permits are posted to the residential address you provide in the online form. Please be aware that these permits can take up to 2 weeks to be processed.
Ourimbah staff must display a staff validation permit to be eligible to park in staff bays.
How can I manage my payroll deductions?
Once payroll deductions commence, it is your responsibility to ensure that you advise IFS or HR to cease deductions when necessary. This may mean a change of primary campus, contract or any circumstance meaning you no longer want the deductions taken from your pay.
For staff paying for parking via payroll, if your employment circumstances have changed in a way which may affect your parking arrangements, you must notify the IFS Customer Service Team on firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not advise IFS of any changes to your employment circumstances your automatic payroll deduction will continue. Please be aware that your automatic payroll deductions will continue even when the permit expires at the end of each year.
Your payroll deductions can be stopped by physically returning the permit to IFS. As soon as we have the permit returned to us, we will work with Human Resources to stop your payroll deductions.
