The Jean Bogan Prize for Piano Composition valued at $9,500 has been established through the generosity of Mr. Laurie Bogan as a memorial to his wife, who had the conviction that the piano was an essential medium through which the creators of music talked with those who would listen and understand what was said. Applications are now invited for these prizes.
