Meet the Team - Jemma Bowman
Donor Stewardship and Recognition Officer
My job, in a nutshell is to help our donors understand how amazing they are and what a difference their generosity is making in the world.
My favourite part of the job is telling the stories of the impact of giving. Our supporters are not just helping students complete their studies, or enabling researchers to continue their work, but also improving the lives of all the people they go on to help.
How long have you worked at the University of Newcastle? 4 years. I seem to be drawn to Newcastles. By coincidence I studied at Newcastle University in the UK (where I lived in Jesmond and played rugby in Hexham!)
I’d like to be stuck in a lift with British-Danish writer and comedian, Sandi Toksvig. She would be funny, interesting and determined to get us out!
One day I’d love to write novels.
My family and friends would describe me as bossy, honest, organised, fun and impatient!
