Introducing LinkedIn Learning
The University is excited to announce a free new learning tool for students. LinkedIn Learning provides thousands of courses in multiple languages, delivered by real-world industry experts from around the world. Choose courses from the fields of Business, Technology and Creative Industries, as well as professional and personal development. Over 50 videos are added each week and will complement your university studies. Enhance your employability by watching LinkedIn Learning videos on industry soft skills to set yourself apart in the competitive job market.
Research says that the most sought after skills in the workforce today are communication, teamwork, flexibility, self-motivation, problem solving and resilience. Learn these skills at your own pace with courses delivered in a variety of ways, including learning paths and bite-size videos for ‘learning in the moment.’ You can personalise your recommendations so you can find the courses just right for you and your studies. Whilst you complete your course, you can talk to experts, colleagues and others taking the course to network and enhance your learning.
You don’t need a LinkedIn account to access LinkedIn Learning, but setting up an account could increase your employability. Add your completed courses to your LinkedIn profile to share with followers and potential employers or include it in your resume.
For easy access to LinkedIn Learning, students can click on the myUON LinkedIn Learning tile or go to Blackboard then click the first slide on the homepage. From there you can login and start your LinkedIn Learning journey.
