Lean Library

Lean Library Access

We know you’ll often start your research in a variety of places online, including searching in Google, Google Scholar, or publisher web sites. We also know that when you’re off campus you’re more likely to encounter the frustration of paywalls, requests for passwords and restricted access to full text articles.

Now you can let the Library find you. Lean Library Access is available in the Library and Student Labs on campus. Staff on campus will need to download the plugin on your PC or laptop. Students using their own personal laptops on campus will also need to download the plugin. For off campus access download the Lean Library browser plugin on your own laptop or PC, and let it automatically help you access the resources you need wherever you are.

Installing the plugin for Chrome, Firefox, or Safari on your laptop or PC is easy. For more information and to download the plugin go to the Lean Library page.

Once installed, Lean Library Access will know when you’re searching a website for content you can access freely through our UON Library database subscriptions and deliver it to you. It will also provide an Open Access version if one is available when content is not available via our subscriptions.

Please see the Lean Library Privacy Policy for more details.
