Under 18 Students Accommodation and Welfare

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) requires international students under 18 years of age to obtain approval for accommodation and welfare arrangements from their education provider, unless they are under the care of a parent or nominated relative who resides in Australia.

If the University has taken responsibility for approving your accommodation and welfare arrangements please note under student visa condition 8532 that you must not enter Australia before the welfare arrangements are due to commence or your student visa may be subject to cancellation.

In addition you must proceed directly to your Homestay accommodation on arrival.

If you wish to change your accommodation and welfare arrangements and have not turned 18 years old then you must seek approval from the University beforehand. Please contact the International Student Advisors for advice.
