The University’s career services and resources have been designed to assist you in developing the capacity to achieve your goals. Whether it is gaining part-time work while you study or clarifying your long-term goals and connecting with industry, there is a service or resource that will fit your current career needs. Services are available to all current students.

CareerHub

The range of available services is accessible via CareerHub. CareerHub is our site for delivering online careers services. You can go to this site to book appointments, register to attend workshops and events, find job listings, and a range of other useful career information resources and links.

Looking for a job?

Regardless of the level or type of job, the most successful job seekers use a variety of job search strategies. Success in competitive labour markets requires the ability to ‘spot’ opportunities and the know-how to get yourself there. If you’re seeking part-time employment while studying, course related experience, or graduate roles, we can help. Learn more about finding a job, including information on interviews, networking, programs, available jobs, and working overseas.

UON Volunteers

UON Volunteers are students that are interested in building community, meeting new people and learning new skills. UON Volunteering is a great way to get connected and make lifelong friends.

You can hear about the UON Volunteers program from participants, or sign up to become a UON Volunteer.

If you are interested in having UON Volunteers participate in your project or at your event, please read the UON Volunteers Guidelines (PDF 106 KB), complete the Request Form and a member of the Student Life Team will respond to your query.

Careers Expo

The University’s Careers and Employment Expo provides an opportunity for students to connect with employers and find out about the range of job opportunities available, such as graduate programs, vacation work, internships and placements.

It’s the primary event on the Careers & Student Development Office calendar and is a distinctive opportunity for industry to connect with all students across the University.

For Employers

Registrations for the 2019 UON Careers & Employment Expo are not yet open. For further information regarding the expo, please call us on 4921 5588 or email us.

For Students

Students can attend the UON Careers & Employment Expo to meet employers, each of whom will have their own booth and display area. For students, the event offers a unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with leading employers from government and private industry.

In addition, a Careers and Student Development booth will be providing useful information on finding employment, preparing resumes and performing well at job interviews.

Student registrations for the expo in 2019 have not yet opened.
