There is no professional placement with this program, however, students are strongly encouraged to take a minimum of a one year study-break between the Bachelor or Design (Architecture) and Master of Architecture in order to travel and/or gain experience in architect practices here in Australia and overseas.
It is a requirement that students complete a total of 16 weeks relevant practical experience prior to commencing their final year (4th) year of study.

Requirements for qualification for the award of the Bachelor of Engineering include completion of at least 12 weeks of industrial experience of a nature acceptable to the Faculty Board. Students are encouraged to obtain and to report on a substantial block of this experience at one time but several shorter periods not less than 2 weeks duration will be accepted. Includes all combined degrees.
