International student, Tawfik, is excelling in his MBA (Global) studies at the University of Newcastle.
Tawfik credits the Newcastle MBA (Global) study tour as a contributing factor to his study success so far.
“The MBA (Global) program offers both theoretical and practical learning- theoretical learning in the classroom and practical learning on the study tour,” Tawfik said.
Students travelled regional NSW on the 10-day tour, gaining valuable insights into a variety of business operations.
“I was extremely lucky to gain business insight from experts in various industries, which has helped broaden my perspectives on the business world,” he said.
Tawfik was pleasantly surprised by the business culture in regional NSW.
“Regional NSW has so much to offer. It is a growing economy with lots of job opportunities.
“What surprised me most, was seeing that regional businesses are not behind with technology. Infact, the businesses we visited incorporated innovative technologies to their day-to-day activities,” Tawfik said.
The MBA (Global) study tour was just one aspect of why studying at the University of Newcastle impressed Tawfik.

“By studying an MBA (Global) in Newcastle, I can use my knowledge obtained in Australia and compare these practices to my home country Malaysia, which I can use in my future career,” Tawfik said.
