Having spent much of her childhood in libraries, it is hardly surprising that Angelique Carr dreams of becoming a writer someday. Currently, she is studying a Bachelor of Arts (English and Writing).

“My Grandma was a librarian, so I spent a lot of time as a kid in libraries,” said Angelique.

While undertaking her Bachelor of Arts (English and Writing) at the University of Newcastle, Angelique was amongst the first group of students to work in the GLAMx (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) Lab, gaining valuable entrepreneurial and work ready skills she can use to her advantage in the future.

In the near future Angelique is considering undertaking honours at the University of Newcastle, a job in the ‘GLAM’ sector or pursuing a career as a writer.

“I’m very interested in writing, so if I did want to become a writer it would be very good for me to self-promote. If I worked for another archive I could promote them as well.”
