Hannah always had her eye on business as a career path, but it was not until she enrolled in the University of Newcastle’s new Business Analytics degree that she discovered her true passion for it.
Hannah’s interest stemmed from studying Business Studies as part of her HSC, as well as her employment in the hospitality industry.
“I worked in a cafe during my HSC and found the management and finance aspects really interesting,” Hannah said.
“I came across the Business Analytics degree at Newcastle and at once took an interest. The fact that the degree was offered at Newcastle really solidified my decision to enrol.”
Hannah’s university studies are not only teaching her practical business and analytical skills, but also enabling her to meet new people and expand her understanding of the business world.
“Business Analytics has allowed me to meet a lot of new people and learn about topics and experiences that I had never been exposed to before.
“The ability to expand my perspective of the world and understand ideas beyond my own, is incredibly valuable to me. This program is already helping me achieve this,” Hannah said.
Hannah said her teacher's knowledge and support had shaped her positive university experience so far.
“Every teacher I have had so far has been absolutely wonderful. Their classes are thorough and structured, which I find beneficial, they are enthusiastic and interactive about their subject and provide encouragement and support to every student,” she said.
