Law is for those who are interested in creating real change in our society, like Brittany Wile, a fourth-year student completing a combined degree in business and law.

Meet Brittany, a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Laws student 1:16

Brittany is part of the first student cohort to study at NeW Space, providing a new learning experience within the heart of Newcastle. Not only that, she is making the most of opportunities available to UON law students through the Legal Centre, as well as gaining a broad range of skills with global appeal.

“I’m going to Vietnam for a study tour, and at the end of the year I’m doing an externship in China for a couple of weeks as well. There’s so many different opportunities to go overseas and learn about different areas of law.”

“Studying business and law at the University of Newcastle has been a fantastic experience, there’s a lot of crossover in the two degrees. The combined degree has definitely been of benefit for future employment and just life skills in general.”

“Also, being in NeW Space and also doing the practicing program will allow us to go down to the Newcastle courthouse and gain some experience. Seeing how all the different skills we’re learning go into practice, and then come back and continue working on a case,” Brittany explained.
