Student Highlights
An unforgettable experience
International student, Bao, is studying a Master of Business Administration (Global).
As part of his studies, Bao participated in the Newcastle MBA global study tour, where students explored regional NSW over a ten-day period.
The highlight of Bao’s trip was experiencing the dynamic of study and travel.
“The idea of travelling while studying has always excited me, especially while living in a multicultural environment. I would recommend this to any international student,” Bao said.
Dubbo NSW was Bao’s favourite destination on the study tour.
“Dubbo was a peaceful town with beautiful streets and an amazing zoo. I will definitely recommend Dubbo to my family when they visit Australia,” Bao said.
Bao learnt many business skills on the study tour, which he can employ in his home country of Vietnam.
“With Vietnam being the second largest worldwide coffee exporter, I observed several business activities in towns such as the Hunter Valley, which Vietnam could benefit from,” Bao said.
After moving to Newcastle in February 2020, Bao describes his experience at the University of Newcastle so far to be ‘unique’.
“Studying an MBA (Global) has given me a broad perspective on how dynamic and evolving the world is, as well as making wonderful friends. That is why the University of Newcastle is unique to me,” Bao said.
