Effect of Centralisation on Regional Radio

Effect of Centralisation on Regional Radio: Case Study of the Super Radio Network (SRN) in Northern NSW and South East Queensland, Harry Criticos (2016)

Since the deregulation of radio in the early 1990s, there has been an increase in the amount of networked program on regional radio. Harry’s research looked at the effect this is having on local radio in regional Australia and whether regulating local content restores localism.

While you may have a set idea of how you will undertake a PhD, the experience is very different. The collegiality amongst researchers means your not alone on this journey, and we’re all willing to help you along the journey. Best of all though is the relationship you develop with your supervisors and the mentoring from the Communication and Media academics, those working partnerships continue well after you submit your thesis.
