PREP7000 - Mathematics for Nursing
Numeracy is a key skill for the study of nursing. Correct and safe administration of medication depends upon the ability to both calculate and measure medications correctly. Every branch of nursing is the same in that you need maths to be a competent nurse. This course will cover:
- Basic Arithmetic
- Units and measurement
- Converting units
- Percentages and ratios
- Percentage concentration
The aim of this introductory course is to improve and practice existing maths skills and begin to develop the ability to transfer these skills into nursing calculations.
