Medical Student Follow-up Study (MedSFUS)

Research aims and objectives

MedSFUS aims to:

  • Provide an insight into the early to middle career workplace outcomes and career decisions of both University of Newcastle and the University of New England (UNE) Medicine graduates, and
  • Determine the association between extended rural clinical placement and rural/remote practice duration. Graduates of the UON Medicine program (since 2006) or the UON/UNE Joint Medical Program can participate in this research.

This study is also being used to collect career choice and location data for participants of the UNE Medical Student Outcome Study.
