Professional Development

In 2021, Teacher Professional Development (PD) workshops have been developed in partnerships with the Inland Rail Skills Academy and Google.

The first PD is a crash course on Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, which is useful for 3D printing and design work. The course will be delivered in a combination of online content designed to familiarise teachers with the Fusion 360 program prior to an in-person workshop.

The 'Cracking the Code' PD aims to break down barriers that teachers may experience when teaching new content about coding to their students. Participants will learn the basics of coding language using the LEGO Mindstorms Education EV3 robots.
