Participate in teaching activities

The Faculty extends a warm invitation to industry professionals willing and able to contribute guest lectures. The topic is up to you – it might be recapping a recent project, discussing innovative technology, or just offering expertise relevant to our courses. This assists students to link theory and practice, and better understand the opportunities and challenges confronting regional organisations and industries.

Host an industry visit

Allow us to bring our students to you to showcase your organisation’s daily operations. Industry visits are an excellent opportunity to provide context to course materials and awaken students to the career opportunities available in our local area.

Mentor a student

Our Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Scholars Program fosters a community of excellence among our high achieving students, and supports them throughout their journey into industry or research. A key part of this scheme is mentoring by industry professionals on academic interests and career aspirations. As an industry mentor you can play a vital role in shaping their future, and give valuable advice on career paths, negotiating industry culture, networking and relating study to work. We invite you to participate in this scheme and share your experience with the next generation of industry professionals.
