A major in Tourism will give you insight into an industry thriving both within Australia and internationally. In 2015-16 the Australian Tourism Industry was worth $53 billion, contributing more to the economy than Agriculture. Nearly 5% of jobs in Australia are in the tourism industry. Studying tourism will give graduates important skills and knowledge but also an appreciation of the importance of sustainable tourism development for long-term economic, environmental and socio cultural viability.
