Symposium: MDTs - more than just a meeting
Thursday, 22 June 2017, 01:30 pm — Thursday, 22 June 2017, 05:30 pm
|Location||Westmead Institute of Medical Research, Sydney|
Historically, Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) have operated as a weekly or fortnightly meeting to discuss patients. In more recent years there are powerful drivers for engaging MDTs in translating research from basic science through to implementation science and quality improvement.
Multi-disciplinary research moves beyond simple collaboration and teaming to integrate data, methodologies, perspectives, and concepts from multiple disciplines in order to advance fundamental understanding or to solve real world problems.
Who should attend? MDT leads and members, quality improvement professionals, health policy offers and T2-T3 Researchers.
The program will feature keynote presentations, case studies and an expert panel debate.
This event is coordinated by the Implementation Science Community of Practice.
