Nonlinear Analysis Workshop

This event was held on Monday 4 February 2019

UON's Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Group are fortunate to be able to host Professor Stergiou, from the University of Omaha, Nebraska, USA in Newcastle in February of 2019. Professor Stergiou will be presenting a workshop on Nonlinear Analysis. This popular workshop regularly runs in Omaha Nebraska and has been presented around the globe.

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce research scientists, clinicians, and students to a variety of nonlinear methods for the analysis of biological time series data. Participants will learn how to use nonlinear methods to analyze biological data by first learning about the underlying mathematics of each nonlinear method in a simple and friendly fashion. Instructors will use class discussions to facilitate understanding of the material covered in the lectures. Instructors will use class discussions to facilitate understanding of the material covered in the lectures. This workshop is an introduction to nonlinear analysis methods; participants with varied backgrounds are welcomed.

Class size will be limited to ensure an effective learning experience for all participants. The course fees (early bird rates) are $750 AUD for professionals and $500 for graduate students (additional discounts available for University of Newcastle staff and students).
