Public and Community Health Degree Launch

This event was held on Wednesday 11 September 2019

Please join us to celebrate the launch of our new Bachelor of Public and Community Health program, which will be offered on the Central Coast from 2020.

The new program has been developed in response to the needs of the Central Coast community and is focused on preventing disease and illness, enhancing health and wellbeing, and reducing health inequities.

We have worked closely with employers from the health, social and community sectors on the Central Coast as we have developed this new program, and we are committed to producing work-ready graduates dedicated to serving their local community. The program offers diverse majors, integrated opportunities for practical experience, and an innovative design to ensure that graduates are ideally placed to make a difference in their communities.

The Bachelor of Public and Community Health is the first Bachelor’s program in the world that is underpinned by an enquiry-based learning system called Big Picture Learning Design which puts students at the centre of decisions around what, how and when they learn. This approach is a revolutionary departure from traditional methods and the result is personalised, passion-based learning.

Join us at the launch for an opportunity to speak to members of staff, public health researchers, current UON students, and Big Picture high school students about this unique new program.
