Social Work 2020: Striving for Change
The University of Newcastle's Social Work class of 2020 would like to welcome you to the annual University of Newcastle Social Work Conference - Social Work 2020 - Striving for Change.
In unforeseeable times, the social work profession must continuously adapt and reinvent itself in order to thrive, grow and lead in an ever-changing climate. From advocacy to action, the presentations will explore the diversity of traditional and emerging social work practice to promote key areas of social change and development.
The annual Social Work 4th year Honours conference provides a platform for our Social Work students to present their thesis topics. Each student has been undertaking their own unique research and will present the results. This year because of Covid 19 the conference is entirely on-line! This allows you to 'attend' any of the presentations during the 2 days. Follow the link to the conference program. Here you will see that the conference has three streams over 2 days. Each is accessible via the live link on the program. Support our students and enjoy!
