ASPERA Conference 2020
Friday, 19 June 2020 — Friday, 19 June 2020
In the interest of public health and safety the 2020 ASPERA conference has been cancelled, but in lieu of this ASPERA and the School Of Creative Industries will be hosting a day of online workshops to allow members to still engage with each other over Zoom and play an active role in shaping quality education for those working or planning to work in production or research for the screen.
These sessions include:
A discussion, with case studies, of different approaches to adjusting teaching practice in the current environment, facilitated by Dr Simon Weaving and Dr Susan Kerrigan. Join us to share the challenges you’ve faced and the solutions you have developed in teaching tertiary level media production courses since social distancing regulations have been in place.
Join your host, ASPERA President, Bettina Frankham and the ASPERA committee, for a chance to share your views how ASPERA works and what the organisation could be focusing on for the next few years. One topic we are keen to hear your thoughts is whether we should establish a Teaching and Learning sub-committee.
A discussion about best practice in supervising post-graduate researchers. Supervising practice focused researchers in a creative field comes with a complex set of dynamics, from designing methodologies to navigating ethics. Join the discussion to find out what attributes are required to become a best-practice supervisor.
