International Women's Day Celebration
#EachForEqual
International Women's Day calls on the entire University of Newcastle community to help forge a more gender-inclusive University and world. It’s a day to acknowledge and celebrate the significant attitudinal shift towards women's equality and liberation, while also recognising there is still work to be done.
With the global date for International Women's Day on Sunday 8 March, we're holding our official celebration on Tuesday 10 March with speeches, stalls & activities, live entertainment and a free BBQ.
For the latest updates, including additional events, make sure you RSVP to our event on Facebook.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
