Exhibition: The Tangible Image, James Rhodes (PhD)

Join us at the University Gallery to view PhD candidate James Rhodes' exhibition, The Tangible Image.
Rhodes experimental photography challenges the traditionally two dimensional nature of photography, asking what information can the tangible and intangible qualities of photographs hold? Rhodes’ PhD research exhibition explores photography’s inherent materiality and how this might shift contemporary photographic practice.
The methods employed in the creation of Rhodes’ photographs, both in their development and display, influences conceptual readings through the multiple experimental approaches he has used to materialise the reproduction – ultimately developing tangible objects that question the premise of the medium itself.
The Tangible Image is on exhibition at the University Gallery from 11 March - 10 April.
