Be a part of Australia’s first Ableton Push collaboration!

The University of Newcastle's School of Creative Industries Community Program is excited to launch an innovating and engaging 7 week face to face course using Ableton Push. Push is an instrument that puts everything you need to make music in one place—at your fingertips. It’s a powerful, expressive instrument that gives you hands-on control of an unlimited palette of sounds, without needing to look at a computer.

In this course, participants will use digital controllers to create and perform within a new and exciting performance idiom. You will experiment with new finger controller techniques to create live mashups which will draw on a broad stylistic sample pallet and combine many musical concepts.

If you want to be a part of Australia’s first Ableton Push collaboration – then this course is for you!

The course is held each Wednesday 6:30-7:30pm at Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, commencing Wednesday 5th August . It is suitable for high school students aged 12-18 years. No experience is required but participants must bring their own laptop or USB.

Classes are limited to 10 people and social distancing protocols will be adhered to. Anyone displaying cold or flu like symptoms should not attend our campuses, and an online lesson may be offered if possible.
