Come along to Civic Park to enjoy music and creative work produced by our students. While you’re in the city, visit other Festival X events, such as the exhibition on the ground floor of University House or the Kids Screening of the Animation Festival.

FESTIVAL X
This performance makes up part of FESTIVAL X being proudly presented by the School Of Creative Industries 13-17 November, across the University’s vibrant city campus and beyond. Now in its second year, Festival X is a culmination of student’s work in the areas of design, animation, communication, theatre, music and film. Held over five days and featuring more than twenty unique events, the students will be making their mark in performances, exhibitions and screenings, celebrating their achievements and showcasing years of dedication to their craft.
OLIVE TREE MARKETS
The Olive Tree Market has been the leading dedicated contemporary handmade art and design market in Newcastle for over a decade. As Newcastle’s premiere Art and Design Market it features a carefully curated line-up of over 130 of the best emerging and established artists, designers, makers, gourmet artisan food producers, and delicious street food purveyors. Meet our makers, learn their stories, and take home beautiful goods, which have been ethically created by our talented creatives.
Gather with family and friends, explore the market, meet the makers, take home beautifully created handmade goods, feast on street food, and take in the sounds of live music performances by talented independent musicians. Relax to an amazing line-up of live independent musicians, meet friends and family for a picnic under the trees, feast on a selection of delicious street food and drinks, and enjoy the beautiful grounds of Civic Park.
