2018 has been an amazing year for our alumni in the Hunter and across the world – so let’s celebrate!
The Hunter Alumni Network and the UON Alumni Team in collaboration with the UON Sports Laureates Association, are looking forward to welcoming you to their end of year celebration where you can get to know your fellow alumni and reflect on the year that was.
Special guest - Dr Matt Dun
UON University Blue and Cancer Institute NSW EC Fellow, Dr Matt Dun (PhD Bio 2012; B Biotech Hons 2008) will be our special guest on the night. After discovering that his daughter Josephine, just 2 years young, was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), Matt has developed his own research program through HMRI, particularly focused in investigating ways to predict DIPG progression and testing new drug therapies with the aim of improving survival.
Come along to hear more from Matt, and to connect with your fellow alumni over a few drinks at the HAN end of year celebration!
