Coordinated by the University's Careers Service team, our employment expos and information sessions are held on campus and are available to employers of all sizes across a range of industries.
Attending employment expos throughout the year is a highly effective way of building awareness of your organisation's brand and an opportunity to showcase current or future employment opportunities.
We encourage all our students to actively engage with industry and employment expos are considered one of the bests ways to meet and learn about employers. Whether your business is looking to recruit recent graduates or engage with current students through work experience or volunteer opportunities, we have an event to suit you.
The University of Newcastle’s Employment Expos are a fantastic opportunity to meet with your future workforce. These events are free of charge and connect industry and community organisations with undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the University.
Our 2021 expo events will be:
- 2021 Employment Expo (Online): week commencing 15 March
This event is targeted at Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Mathematics, Science, Business, Law, Humanities and Creative Industries students.
- 2021 Education Employment Expo (Online): week commencing 29 March
- 2021 Nursing and Midwifery Employment Expo (Online): week commencing 31 May
- 2021 Allied Health Employment Expo (online): week commencing 23 August

Employer information sessions
Holding an online information session is a great opportunity for you to introduce your organisation to our students. You will be able to talk to potential candidates about upcoming opportunities, share information about your industry and provide details of your recruitment process.
Please note: due COVID-19 restrictions, we are not currently facilitating any on-campus information sessions with employers.
