Description
The Undergraduate Certificate in Construction Management is only available in 2021.
The Undergraduate Certificate in Construction Management concentrates on key foundational learning that underpins professional knowledge while providing an introduction to broader study skills and approaches. The program has a strong sustainability focus that flows through the individual courses providing an understanding of and mitigation against the impacts of modern construction. General construction techniques, law and the fundamentals of construction practice are the specific areas of attention.
Program learning outcomes
On successful completion of the program students will have:
- Basic mathematics and research skills relevant to the construction industry
- A fundamental knowledge of the construction industry, the environment and social processes that inform and contribute to social practice
- Foundation-level skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders (and members of construction teams to facilitate project delivery).
- Foundation-level skills to enable them to work effectively both independently and collaboratively (in interdisciplinary and multi-professional environments and teams).

Additional information
Through the Pathways and Academic Learning Support Centre, students can access a free suite of NUPrep preparation courses as well as Academic Learning Support.
