Practical experience - Bachelor of Engineering

Cement your learning with Industry Experience

Engineering Students at work

Practical work placement is a compulsory and invaluable component of your engineering degree. You are required to undertake 12 weeks of industry experience which can be completed in one block or as shorter placements of no less than two weeks per placement.

The industrial placement must be approved by the Faculty Industrial Experience Coordinator prior to commencing at your chosen workplace.

During periods of work placement you will have the opportunity to build vital professional networks while also applying your knowledge in a realistic industry setting. You will also undertake an industry-related project in your final year of study.

Further information is available at the Faculty's Industrial Experience page.
