Description

The Graduate Certificate in Digital Business focuses on contemporary issues in operating effective digital business, preparing students with the latest knowledge of digital technologies and their impacts. The program offers students to equip with digital business leadership skills so that they can act as a smart business decision makers, inventors, and enablers to different digital transformation for improving business or merchandising processes, with effective knowledge and understanding of how a modern business would operate sustainably in continuously meeting the emerging societal and business issues.The program provides hands-on and practical understanding related to a range of business technologies and project management disciplines and utilising real-world industry cases to practice problem solving approaches and opportunities to apply new knowledge to resolve problems that they will encounter in business contexts. One of the vital learning elements are related to knowledge and skills of Artificial Intelligence systems used in business operations and its impact that are increasingly substituting human’s tasks, roles, responsibilities, and their decision-making for empowering the reality of smart automation in business. 


Program learning outcomes

On successful completion of the program students will have:

  • Effective independent or collaborative work skills to apply specialised knowledge and expert judgement to digital business management tasks.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills to be able to justify effective digital automation and business operation solutions.
  • Specialised knowledge of theories, models and concepts relevant to digital business design and management and be proficient in their application and supportive online technologies.
  • Skills to apply relevant theories, principles and methodologies to research in digital business systems and management.

Admission information

Admission requirements

Entry into the Graduate Certificate in Digital Business will be available to applicants who have:

  • 3 year Bachelor’s degree; or
  • 3 year Diploma + 1 year relevant organisational experience;  or 
  • 2 year Diploma + 2 years relevant organisational experience; or
  • 1 year Diploma + 3 years relevant organisational experience. 

English Language Requirements

All Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the University’s English proficiency requirement. Further information regarding English language proficiency requirements can be found at the English Language Proficiency for Admission Policy here.

  • IELTS Overall Minimum: 6.5
  • IELTS Sub Test Minimum: 6

Additional information

Through the Pathways and Academic Learning Support Centre, students can access a free suite of NUPrep preparation courses as well as Academic Learning Support.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students can draw on the assistance and support provided by the Indigenous Student Support and Development service through the Wollotuka Institute.
