Chemistry of Advanced Materials

Develop an understanding of the structure of several classes of advanced materials and their importance in industrial applications with the Chemistry of Advanced Materials major.

Through theoretical and practical studies, you’ll explore the principles of chemistry, the varying chemistries of elements, their compounds and behaviour.

You’ll also study the engineering properties of materials and how these properties result from basic chemical bonding and structure.

Chemistry of Advanced Materials is a 80 unit major, specific courses can be found in the program handbook.

The Chemistry of Advanced Materials major within the Bachelor of Science is only available at our Newcastle (Callaghan) campus.
