If you’re interested in promoting individual and community health and wellbeing, the Health Promotion major is for you.
You’ll explore how social determinants can impact our community’s health and develop interventions that address the major causes of disease and illness.
You’ll learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate effective health promotion programs for various community groups – with a common aim of improving the health of the population and reducing health inequities among population groups.
Health Promotion graduates go on to work in a variety of roles across government and community health organisations, health departments, and non-government organisations. Typical roles include:
