Accept your offer

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study at the University of Newcastle (UON)!

We welcome you and look forward to you enrolling and commencing your studies with us.

Take a look at the options below for accepting your offer. Once you have accepted you will need to activate your student account.

To accept and pay online using your credit card go to myHub and follow the instructions. If you choose the 'Accept without payment' option you will not be able to go back and later make a payment through myHub and therefore must use one of the payment options listed below.

Your user name and password was sent to you when your application was submitted. If you do not have your user name and password please contact International Admissions.

You are only able to use this option if you have received an unconditional offer.

You are also able to accept your offer by sending the completed offer acceptance, a certified copy of your passport, and student financial declaration form by email or post.

To accept your offer by email or post please complete the personalised offer acceptance form you received from us and return it to ia@newcastle.edu.au or the address below:

Please include any outstanding certified documents and meet all other conditions as specified in your Conditional Letter of Offer.

Please remember that the University will only accept original or certified documents.

Copies must be certified by either an authorised officer of the official records department of the institution that originally issued the document, an authorised officer of an Australian overseas diplomatic mission or any Australian Education Centre, or a Justice of the Peace or registered Public Notary.

Credit card or electronic funds transfer

If you wish to pay the deposit fee by credit card or electronic funds transfer please send your credit card form to finserv-cashiers@newcastle.edu.au.

International bank draft

All international bank drafts should be made payable to the University of Newcastle for the total deposit amount as noted on your admissions offer and sent to:

Financial guarantee (scholarship)

If you are in receipt of a scholarship, please provide a certified copy of the financial guarantee or sponsor letter describing the details of the funding or sponsorship you will receive to support your study.

The financial guarantee or sponsor letter must include the total amount of funds you will receive and the duration of the scholarship. The letter must also clearly outline the amounts granted for tuition fees, living expenses, overseas health cover and any other expenses that you may incur.


ACTIVATE YOUR STUDENT ACCOUNT

New to UON

For those commencing International students with the University of Newcastle, once you have accepted your offer and been issued your eCOE (electronic Confirmation of Enrolment) you will be required to activate your student account prior to accessing UON systems.

Go to the following website https://accountactivation.newcastle.edu.au/sa to complete the activation of student account by using your UON student number, your date of birth (in the format dd/mm/yyyy) and your Program Code.  Your Program Code can be found by accessing the Program Handbook and selecting your degree.

Please note, your Program Code is not contained in your Offer Letter. If you are a Study Abroad or Exchange Student visit the Study Abroad or Exchange activate your student account page for information about your program code.

Studied at UON previously?

If you have studied at UON previously, you will not need to activate your student account. You can use your previous student number and password to log in to the University systems. If you cannot remember these details you may be able to log in using your previously set up challenge questions. If you are unable to log in via the above methods you will need to contact IT on 02 4921 7000.
