Personal support

Your time at the University of Newcastle can be one of the most rewarding periods of your life, but it’s also a time when you will probably need a range of support and advice. Students who actively seek help during their studies are more likely to be successful in managing their life – both at and outside uni – so it’s one of the smartest things you can do.

It’s also common to need extra support, so you won’t be alone if you utilise the services available.

Support services

We can find a service to help with any issue you are facing.

Our Wellbeing Advisors are experts in connecting you to support services. Some of the services available include access to bulk-billed medical services and free counselling, as well as a range of online and other resources to help you stay on top of your finances, nutrition and fitness.

If you are an international student, are from an Indigenous background, are a student with a disability or have specific health requirements, we have specialist staff and systems in place to ensure you are supported to succeed in your studies. If you have questions or feedback regarding any of our support services, you can always Ask UON.

This Student Wellbeing Services flyer provides information about the key support available to students at University of Newcastle.
