Peer Writing Mentors
Peer Writing Mentors are students who provide advice on developing your writing skills.
Peer Writing Mentors can:
- Give you advice about study skills, writing and referencing
- Offer general feedback about your writing or discuss ideas and concerns with you about your work
- Show you strategies for how to do something (e.g. use a referencing style, analyse a question and interpret marking criteria, structure an essay, use a writing or note taking planner)
- Provide you with referral to other services, if we can’t help you.
Writing mentors can't correct your work but can provide advice on areas that may need improvement.
Peer Writing Mentors are a drop-in service (no appointment required) that runs from 11am-2pm each weekday during semester periods from Week 3-13 inclusive. Further information about their location(s) for Sem 1, 2022 will provided on this page soon.
