Change your enrolment

While UON offers a huge variety of courses, you can generally only enrol in those that contribute to your program. If you wish to enrol in a courses outside your program, you will likely need to pay full fees upfront.

For information on courses that contribute to your program, refer to your Program Planner and your Program Handbook.

If the course you are looking to add to your program will assist you in eventually graduating, you can change your enrolment in myHub through myUni.

Options for changing your enrolment are listed below:

Prove you're enrolled

If you need to prove you are enrolled as a student at UON, you can request a Verification of Enrolment letter.

The letter details your name, date of birth, student number, program of study and full or part-time status for the current year. Your letter cannot be modified to include additional information.

You can purchase a Verification of Enrolment letter for a $20 fee through the Student Payments system. You may be eligible for a fee waiver if you are requesting the letter for a Government organisation or another University – contact Student Central  for more information.

Change or drop courses

You can add to or change your enrolment through myHub until 11:59 pm on the Friday of week two of any semester or trimester. If you are dropping a course, you must do this in myHub. Simply removing the classes in myTimetable is not enough.

After Week 2, you can apply for late enrolment, although you will need your Course Coordinator’s approval and signature and to have lodged your form before the Census date.

You'll receive an email letting you know if you are successful.

Withdraw from courses (not involving placements)

Check the Enrolment dates page for the last day to withdraw enrolment without financial penalty (census date) and the last day to withdraw without academic penalty (last day of teaching) in any term.

You can withdraw from a course up until 11:59 pm on census date and no fees will be charged for that  enrolment.

You can withdraw from a course up until 11:59 pm on the last day of teaching and no grade will be recorded for that enrolment. You remain responsible for the fees for any course in which you are enrolled after census date.

Withdraw from courses involving placements

Other than in exceptional circumstances approved by your Head of School, you cannot withdraw from a placement or a course containing a placement after the date outlined in the Course Outline. See the Student Professional Experience Policy for more information.
