UON Global will be able to assist with questions around global partnerships. You may already know which international University or organisation you may wish to visit and collaborate with as part of the scholarship but UON Global would be able to provide advice on areas of strategic interest to the University.

The Scholarship Selection Committee will consider the length of all proposed visits as part of the decision-making process. The Committee may approve an international visit that is longer than two weeks depending on the details of the proposed development activity and the potential benefit to the University.

If you wish to add your own personal travel to the end of the international visit this may also be permitted. The guidelines and requirements around private/personal travel are included in the University’s Travel Procedure located in the Policy Library.

The International Development Scholarship Selection Committee will award scholarships up to a maximum of $10,000. This amount covers travel, accommodation, meals, host gifts, conference/ development costs, and reasonable incidentals.

Yes. If you do not already have a credit card please speak with the person in your school/ unit who looks after credit card applications and they will be able to assist you. If you need additional assistance please contact the University staff in Finance.

You will need to prepare a short report for the Director, People & Workforce Strategy outlining the key outcomes from the international visit.

You may also be asked to work with Human Resource Services to prepare a video of your trip or participate in other activities that will inform future applicants.

Human Resource Services will transfer the cost of your international visit (based on Fraedom receipts) into your School/ Unit’s cost collector at the conclusion of the overseas visit. All costs relating to the development activity are to be approved in Fraedom by your Head of School/ Unit.
