Bioresources Facility

The University of Newcastle is investing in a new Bioresources Facility that will support world-class biomedical and biological research.

It will improve our research capabilities by giving researchers access to modern, fit-for-purpose facilities that help us keep pace with emerging technologies, methodologies and fields of research. It’s a critical piece of research infrastructure and will form part of the university’s new STEMM precinct.

Construction will start in second quarter 2019 and is expected to be complete in late 2020.

The new research facility is expected to be operational in early 2021.

The facility has been classified as a State Significant Development and is subject to state planning, regulatory and approval processes.
